Useful Information

  • Our class PE days are every Tuesday and Friday. Please ensure that your child has their full PE kit in school. Thank you!

  • Please remember that the school gates will open at 8:30am and the register will be taken at 8:40am. The children can be picked up anytime between 3:00-3:20pm.

  • We ask that your child brings their (labelled) PE kit to school on a daily basis. They can wear their PE kit to school every Friday in place of their school uniform.

  • New 'Home Learning' activities will be handed out every Friday. These will then be collected for marking on Wednesday.

  • We endeavour to read with your child twice a week and change their books on these occasions.

Please, please, please ensure that EVERY item your child brings into school is clearly labelled with their name. Items will inevitably become misplaced and it makes it a lot easier to return items to their owners when things are labelled. Thank you so much! smiley

Our Learning in RS

Last week we have been busy exploring the Autumn materials that we bought in for our home learning. We have also been learning how to use a number line to help us to order numbers. We have been exercising our bodies every day with 'Wake up Shake up'...we have warmed our bodies with our 'Animal' warm up and throwing some shapes with our friend Maximo (from Go Noodle!)

In Phonics this week we have been learning the sounds: r, h, b

This means that so far the sounds we have explored are: s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b.

We have been also been looking at the tricky words: 'I', 'the','to', 'go', 'no', 'he', 'she', and 'we'. These are tricky because you can't sound them out, you just have to learn them. We have been doing this by practising the 'Tricky Word' song!  smiley
