Welcome to RS
Teacher: Mrs Melissa Smith
TA: Mrs Lynda Lawrence
We have an 'open door policy'. Please feel free to talk to us at the start or end of the day. No question is too small! Alternatively, you can email the class teacher on:
Stars of the week!
Our 'Learning Star' of the week is...
Rebecca for showing enthusiasm in everything that she does, especially singing!
Our 'Value Star' of the week is...
Joseph for showing courage by trying some new and different foods in the lunch hall.
Please, please, please ensure that EVERY item your child brings into school is clearly labelled with their name. Items will inevitably become misplaced and it makes it a lot easier to return items to their owners when things are labelled. Thank you so much!
Our Learning in RS
Last week we have been busy exploring the Autumn materials that we bought in for our home learning. We have also been learning how to use a number line to help us to order numbers. We have been exercising our bodies every day with 'Wake up Shake up'...we have warmed our bodies with our 'Animal' warm up and throwing some shapes with our friend Maximo (from Go Noodle!)
In Phonics this week we have been learning the sounds: r, h, b
This means that so far the sounds we have explored are: s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b.
We have been also been looking at the tricky words: 'I', 'the','to', 'go', 'no', 'he', 'she', and 'we'. These are tricky because you can't sound them out, you just have to learn them. We have been doing this by practising the 'Tricky Word' song!
This week we will be busy following instructions to bake some yummy Autumnal biscuits...yummy!
