Our Extra Curricular activities take place on Friday afternoons.

Over the last two weeks in Art and Craft Club we have been creating our own collages using different textures. The children really loved taking their time and using the different colours and different materials to create their master piece!
This week in Art and Craft club we created some beautiful blossoming trees. Exploring our creativity.
This week in Art and Craft Club we made spring creations for our display. We made daffodils and butterflies...lots of cutting, sticking and painting fun!
This week in Art and Craft Club we made Love Caterpillars. We had to work really hard on our scissor skills!
This week in Art and Craft club we created animal masks, Pigs, Rabbits, Sheep and Bears. We had so much fun!
Lego Club this week had a Christmas theme. The children wrote HAPPY CHRISTMAS using the multilink, then built the items they are hoping Santa will bring them! Thank you to all the children for making this club so much fun. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and happy New Year.
This week Lego Club had a Pokémon theme. We had different designs of Pokémon ball and many amazing creatures. The children were fantastic working together and really enjoyed playing with their Pokémon creations.
Lego Club this week decided to have a space theme. We had several planets, stars, aliens, ships, creatures...Great teamwork from everyone!
Today, in Lego Club, the children decided to make animals. Imaginative creations were soon filling the tables! Take a look and see if you can identify all the animals.
The children decided that today's theme for our Lego club would be buildings. They worked in pairs; someone from the school they would not normally be with. Talking to each other, they decided what they were going to build and co-operated with each other to make their final piece.
The first Lego and Construction Club was very creative! The children decided that the theme would be 'transport'. There was everything you could think of; hover bikes, helicopters, trains, cars, ships, moving houses, transformers and many more amazing designs!
Congratulations to Kaitlin and Violet in Year 3 who grew their sunflower to an amazing 8ft 4in! Well done also to Alexander in Year 1 who also grew his sunflower to a good height.

On 19.06.17 we harvested the potatoes we planted earlier in the year. The children really enjoyed searching for the potatoes in the soil and getting mucky! In total we grew almost 7kgs. This week they will be cooked and we will be asking all the children to taste them and decide which of the two varieties is their favourite.

In Outdoor club this week we learned how to communicate our names using semaphore. This system has been in existence for over 350 years and in use for over 250 years. Have a go!

Outdoor club had a lovely walk part way around the perimeter fence. The children used trundle wheels to measure the distance we walked; just over half a kilometre. They also identified any potential hazards such as stones, overhanging trees, nettles etc. and photographed them. As we walked around we found a bat box, a fox hole, a few rabbit scrapes and identified oak trees, bluebells, thistles, dock leaves and nettles. We plan to continue exploring after the half-term holidays.

The children had great fun in Outdoor Club planting their sunflower seeds and starting their diaries. We are looking forward to September to see if anyone beats the record of 8 metres!

We have had fun exploring direction and positioning using 'Beebot' technology on our iPads. We also tried to create our beebots, navigating our friends around the playground using directional language only.

We use the iPads and the laptops...it is a lot of fun!
